IT’S the same old problem every festival – so many shows and so little time. Mind you, I got to see some little beauties, quite a few of them at the Capitol Theatre, which is a wonderful venue.

You’ve got to take off your hat to these entrepreneurs who put together a showcase and then take the risk of patrons paying to come through the doors.
In many cases, by the time they take out their venue and ticketing costs (which are quite hefty), then pay their acts, there’s little change left over – and sometimes – they’re in the red.
I’m just pleased that so many people turned out for the concerts I attended. Hope the artists made a few bucks for their trouble.
THIS week I’ll share with you some pics of the beaut ticketed shows I attended.
With the Capitol concerts, a huge thank you to the expertise of the sound and lighting crews. They did a fabulous job making those on stage look and sound terrific. Some venues are better than others for taking photos. I found the Tamworth Services Club Down Under bar rather poorly lit, and consequently, those pics aren’t the best – but the acts were great. These are my shots. I’ll share some of Flash’s top pics in next week’s column. Enjoy. I sure did!
ONE last thing – if you’re up for it, Lachlan Bryan and Harmony James continue their Common Grounds tour and will land at Inverell RSM on Saturday night.
While they’re this close to Tamworth – and if you missed their show at The Pub in November – why not hightail it up the Fossickers Way and treat your valentine to this beaut show?
