Canberra Racing is yet to return a positive test for cobalt and chief executive Peter Stubbs wants to keep it that way.

Racing Victoria is investigating positive swabs returned by horses with three top Victorian trainers - Peter Moody, Danny O'Brien and Kark Kavanagh - while Racing NSW is looking into their own positive tests from horses with Darren Smith and Paul Murray.
But there has been none in Canberra since tests for it began in April last year.
Stubbs was satisfied with the level of testing, which includes the winner of every race run at Thoroughbred Park as well as random tests of all other runners.
The samples are then sent to a NSW laboratory.
"There's been no positive results to cobalt from any of our race meetings," Stubbs said.
"The level of testing is quite extensive, every winner and random tests taken as well, our testing is adequate and extensive as well so I don't see any need to increase that."
Cobalt is a naturally occurring substance, both in horses and the earth, so a threshold of 200 micrograms per litre of urine has been set well above any naturally occurring levels.
Stubbs said there had been so few positive tests returned for any substance at Thoroughbred Park, he could not remember when the last one was.
He said integrity was racing's most important commodity and having clean racing was an important part of that.
"We don't want any positive tests to any substance because it goes against the integrity of racing," Stubbs said.
"The racing authorities and principal clubs are quite stringent on the integrity of racing and maintaining that."
Thoroughbred Park will host an eight-race meet on Friday, one of only three meets before Super Sunday on March 8, when group racing returns to Canberra with the group 3 Black Opal Stakes (1200 metres), the Canberra Cup (2000m), the Canberra Guineas (1400m) and the National Sprint (1400m) on the ACT's premier day of racing.
