Five of the races will be heats for the Armidale to Grafton final.
The meet has attracted the best field seen in Armidale since the Armidale Cup, with all the trainers keen to get a piece of the carnival.
The top two in each final will go to Grafton for the final on December 22.
Race 4 will be the first heat and will be hot, with Lloyd Rock’s Midnight Rock getting the inside box to go for his third win from four races in a great bit of form.
That inside box might be the difference, with Stephen Attwater’s Aguero and Dennis Nixon’s Kikem Wish drawing the three and seven respectively.
The two are also in purple patches, with two wins each from their last four starts.
The second heat will see Ranald Dawes’ Jasper Mulwee go for three in a row, although he has drawn the middle box.
The white and fawn dog is going in fastest after clocking 21.03 on the track earlier in the year.
Albert Zarb’s Duck Down Valley is also after three in a row and will come out of box six.
The final two heats are just as fast and just as close, with trainers coming from all over northern NSW for a crack at it.
Gates open at midday with first race to be run at 1pm.
