The annual community carols are hosted by Moonby House and organised by the combined churches to spread the meaning of Christmas.
“We want to present the real meaning of Christmas,” Kootingal and Moonbi Anglican minister Reverend Allan Beavan said.
“We want to have fun, but we want to remember it’s about the birth of Jesus and God’s gift to us of Christmas.”
The event is also a chance for Moonby House residents to be part of the community.
Royal Freemasons Benevolent Institute spokesman Brian Magill said the residents sometimes lost their community when they moved into aged care, and this brought the community to them.
There will be a Lions Club sausage sizzle from 6pm and the singing will begin at 7pm, with a special children’s section in the program and candles for sale.
There were 300 people last year and organisers hoped for as many or more singers next week.
