The Tamworth Gold Under 15s had the best win, scoring 193 and then bowling Narrabri out for 54 on Riverside 2.
Aaron Madirazza was the star, claiming 8-8 off 8.5 overs of off-spin after Toby Whale had topscored with 80.
At Max Sutton Oval, the Tamworth Gold Under 13s made 159 and then bowled Narrabri out for 132, Conrad George the star, topscoring with 35 and then bowling seven overs of good legspin to claim 1-21.
Toby Smith earned the match ball after he also made 27 and claimed 3-22 off his 5.5 overs.
At Riverside 5, the Damian Henry-coached Tamworth Gold Under 13s beat Narrabri in their Under 14 clash by 86 runs.
Callum Henry (57no), Daniel Stuart (57) and Joel Carter (41no) were batting mainstays for Tamworth as it made 5-204 from its 40 overs.
Daily Guest also made 57 for Narrabri but Angus Gourley (11) was the only other batsman to reach double figures after Dylan Smith (1-18 off 7) and Kyan Harvey (3-38 off 7) had been Narrabri’s best with the ball.
Bailey Pinnock took the bowling honours for Tamworth Gold, capturing 3-5 from his three overs, while Jayden Betts took 2-11.
Opening bowlers Daniel Stuart (0-11 off 8) and Kurt Barton (0-20 off 7) bowled tightly as well.
“It’s the first year for most of them,” Henry said of his Gold side.
“They are going along nicely. We just wanted to bat the 40 overs out today and still haven’t been bowled out but it was the first time we’ve bowled a side out.
“We lost our first game at Armidale but beat Inverell at Inverell and now go to Moree next week.”
At Max Sutton Oval, the James Haling-coached Gold Under 13s made 159 with Conrad George (35), Toby Smith (27), Oliver Keft-Gill (19) and Noah Pitt (14) all batting well.
Jordan Mowle snared 3-42 off his 10 overs for Narrabri and Tom Woodham claimed 2-13 off his seven overs.
The visitors had a good start too, with Aaron Baker (31) and Nick Tomlinson (24) combining in a 64-run opening stand.
That was broken only when Will Meyers bowled Baker.
From there the Narrabri side lost a steady flow of wickets with four ducks .
Mowle’s 20 was good and then Kate Brown came in late to face a hat-trick ball from Dominic Haire (3-24).
She promptly smacked it straight past the bowler for three and looked capable of running down the target until she was bowled for 16.
At Riverside 2, Tamworth Gold off-spinner Madirazza was outstanding.
He might be little but he flighted the ball beautifully, coach Chris Paterson said.
The dry wicket also turned, enabling Madirazza to spin back at least five deliveries from outside off stump to bowl batsmen.
“He came on first change,” Paterson said.
“He got a bit of assistance from the wicket.”
Tamworth had started well, with Toby Whale (80) and Jye Paterson (22) putting on a 54-run opening stand.
Jack Diebold, batting at six, also finished unbeaten on 34.
Ryan Meppem (2-33 off 10) and Nathan Trindall (2-42 off 10) were the pick of the Narrabri bowlers while wicketkeeper Coby Cornish (11) opened the batting with Cooper Brayshaw (6).
They put on 20 but when Brayshaw was dismissed by Diebold, Madirazza came into the attack to demolish their lineup.
“We’ve only had the one game before this – had a really good win at Armidale,” Paterson said.
“We scored 312 and dismissed them for around 160.
“Then we were washed out at Inverell.
“We’ve got Moree next week and then Gunnedah in the New Year.
“That win puts us in a good position.”
