Tiffany Smith from the Tudor Hotel has finished fourth in the UGLY (understanding, generous, likeable, you) Bartender of the Year competition.
One of almost 300 bartenders across NSW and ACT to take part in the quest, Ms Smith raised more than $11,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Her impressive fundraising drive included a “Sunday sesh” at the hotel, a massive garage sale, a mountain of merchandise and even a rooftop piggy bank.
“The sheer ambition of Tiffany Smith, who went above and beyond to support those living with blood cancer cannot go by without being acknowledged,” said Christine McMillan, general manager for the Leukaemia Foundation NSW and ACT.
Every $80 raised from UGLY gives a family a place to call home for one night; the incredible amount raised will help accommodate 138 nights for those who must relocate for treatment at a metropolitan hospital.
