Colts hadn’t made it onto the crease until Saturday after having the bye the first round and then having to forfeit to Kentucky after only being able to muster five players.
On Saturday, they showed their batting muscle, smacking 6-124 from their 20 overs.
Openers Eddie Blomfield and Daniel Hunt set the tone, belting 65 for the first wicket off about eight overs.
Blomfield, particularly, went after the attack, hitting seven fours and a six on his way to 47.
Hunt supported with 19 before Matt See, making his comeback for Colts after a couple of seasons away, came in and plundered a quick 20.
Garry Aulakh (2-30) and Ryan Walker (2-18) were the best of the Uralla bowlers.
They then went close to a third straight win but were held to 6-118.
John McFarland was good again for them at the top of the order, making 42.
Almost half of those came via the boundary, with McFarland striking five fours in his stay.
Jay Grills also chipped in with 14 and Sam Press a two-hit 10.
Cameron Kelly also tried hard to get Uralla home and was unbeaten on 14.
Paul Pitman bowled well for Colts and claimed 2-17.
Will Plush and Nat Brazel also picked up a wicket each.
Brazel’s first over was an interesting one.
He effectively bowled two overs after bowling five wides, and a no ball, which went for four, but only went for 13.
In the game at Captain Cook Park, a nine-man Round Swamp batting first were all out for 74 in the 15th over.
Only three players made double figures, with Bill Wake hitting 24, opener Tom Hoy 13 and James Tisdell 12.
Teenager Daniel Boyd’s spin was Round Swamp’s undoing, Boyd finishing with 3-22.
The five other Kentucky bowlers used shared the remaining wickets.
Kentucky then batted out the overs but could only get to 6-64.
Clinton Ballagh and Stephen Haslem were the two trying to get them home, Ballagh remaining unbeaten on 16 and Haslem 13.
Scott Wood was the other scorer of note with a quick-fire 21.
He only had to run three of them, with the other 18 runs either fours or sixes.
Liam Brennan topped the wickets for Round Swamp with 3-13 while Hoy chimed in with 2-17.
