A 15-year-old-boy has lead police on a high speed pursuit in central NSW after he stole a car from a local hospital.

The unlicensed teen stole the ute from Forbes hospital and drove into the centre the town at speeds of up to 140 kilometres an hour
He failed to stop when police attempted to pull him over around midnight.
Local police had to abandon the pursuit out of concerns for the safety of members of the community.
It is unknown if the stolen ute belonged to a patient or a medical professional at the hospital.
Further investigations by police led them to a house in Carrawabbity, west of Forbes, where they found the teenager.
He was arrested and charged with several driving offences including those that fall under Skye's Law.
He is due to appear before Forbes children's court on Thursday.
