At Walcha, captain Simon Newton scooped the awards.
The five-eighth/inside centre was named best and fairest, players’ player and highest point scorer.
Half-back Soni Halanukonuka was runner-up to Newton for the best and fairest while AFL convert Will Plush was judged the most improved.
Plush hadn’t played rugby – or even really watched a game – before this season but was able to work his way onto a starting spot on the wing.
Two of the Rams’ promising juniors were also recognised, with five-eighth Bevan Wood picking up the U19s best and fairest ahead of Thomas Boyd.
At the Bulls’ presentation, captain Ben Colley took out the best and fairest ahead of backrow counterparts Ciaran O’Gorman and Matt Wannan.
Prop Marcia Latabua won the Aaron O’Neile Memorial Award for the best teamman award for all grades, while winger Rob Selosse was awarded the Kalua Cup as the best new player.
Next season will see a bit of a changing of the guard for the Bulls with first grade co-coach Damien Kelly taking a year off, second grade co-coach Josh Connell having moved to Queensland and U18s coach Kylie Dawson stepping aside.
The Rams held theirs earlier last month.
Prop and Country U20s rep Will Robinson picked up the David Kelly Memorial Trophy as the first grade best and fairest and also the pig of the year award, which is judged across the whole club.
He also took home the Goodall Family Shield for the representative player of the year.
Half-back Adam Cabot won coach Ben Crowley’s award, while breakaway Adam Scanlon was the players’ pick.
Number eight Blake Etheridge picked up the first grade defensive player award and John Carruthers the improvement award, with Ben Taber and Ben Freeman sharing the Rob Lewis Memorial Trophy as the most consistent.
In other club awards, second rower Rob Carter was presented with the Alan Lynch Memorial Trophy as the Most Valued Club player, Luke Smith the Jack Stewart Memorial Trophy for Clubperson of the Year, Nilsson West the Mahers Petroleum Rookie of the Year, Brad Ibrahim the goalkicking award, Nick Sweeney the best trainer of the year award, and Jack McCarthy and Matt Green the Maheno Club Trophy for the Sporting Player of the Year.
Guy Derrick also picked up a special award for his commitment to the club.
