What is it with crime? We fear it, condemn it, debate endlessly what is to be done to combat it and yet we consistently choose cop shows for entertainment. Police dramas have been a staple of  television since John Logie Baird was a lad, drawing us in with their inherent drama and age-old yarns of crime and punishment.
