The 10-year-old took out the 8-10 years Kata Division with some great composure.
Brooker trains twice a week at Chaffey’s Black Belt Academy, but took on some extra private sessions with Kysoshi Clint Chaffey in preparation for the championships.
In her fourth year in the sport, Brooker now has her eyes on the national titles, to be held in Sydney this month.
Teammate Sam Paton also qualified for the Nationals after placing third in Points Sparring and Continuous Sparring as well as a fourth in Weapons Kata.
