Close to 300 riders and their horses braved Saturday’s rainy weather, advised club press officer Amanda Young.

She said Tamworth held their previous event six weeks ago and riders from all over the east coast of Australia returned to Tamworth on the weekend to compete at the biggest event Tamworth International Eventing has held to date.

The organisation had 190 riders at its first event in 2012, however, that has blossomed now that Tamworth International Eventing runs two events each year attracting a range of competitors, from newcomers to the sporting elite.
