The TDML gave the two young footballers $500 each to help defray costs of about $3500 for their national Under 12 Carnival.

“The are two outstanding young men,” said TDML president Steve Lasscock.

“A great couple of boys, very handy players too. Great to have them in the country squad.”

Tyrone, 12, plays for Wests in the TDML while Connor, from Manilla, plays for Dungowan of a Saturday in the TDML.

They are off to Sydney next week where they have a training camp for a week starting Sunday August 3 in Blacktown. After that camp they travel to Wollongong where they an opening ceremony on Saturday, August 9 and then start their week-long carnival in Wollongong the following day.

Both young players are enormously excited and have also received support from their Wests and Dungowan junior football clubs as well.
