EMERGENCY services have been called to the Pilliga Forest near Narrabri after a plane went down on Thursday afternoon.
The plane issued a mayday call to authorities with reports of engine failure before 4.30pm, and made a forced landing.
The single engine plane is believed to have two people on board who have suffered injuries.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been tasked to the scene with paramedics on board.
Police, RFS, VRA and ambulance have been called to the scene.
