For almost 500 years the Papacy has encouraged their “separated brethren” in the Church of England, to return to the Mother Church.
It would be interesting to know if the Queen still believes in the “divine right of kings” espoused by Henry VIII and James I; or has she passed that divine right back to the Pope?
Anglicans appear to have short memories and obviously prefer to forget that their founder murdered two wives, and thousands of Catholics, and other Christians.
No doubt, if Henry had visited the Pope, bearing gifts, the eggs would have been far from fresh and would have been used for target practice.
