While the Tigers won their way to a title, the United Oldbats received a forfeit from the Diamonds Scorpions, who had a number of players with other commitments.
United Oldbats’ Victoria Daly was disappointed.
“I would rather have played and lost than received the trophy in this manner but such is life,” she said.
The Oldbats still had a game. A grudge match between the United Numbats and United Wombats teams was played, with United Oldbats holding their own against some representative players to tie the match.
Congratulations to Melaine Rose, (South Strikers, Riverside Cup) and Alisa Miloar, (Diamonds Tigers, League Cup), who received the Best and Fairest awards for the season.
