Hosted by the Tamworth Golf Club, the fundraising event is one of a handful of World’s Greatest Shaves taking place across the region during the month of March.
Answering the call to arms are some brave soccer players and several local hairdressers.
The Oxley Vale Attunga Mushies aim to raise $3000 by shaving or waxing their hair for the great cause.
More than 11,500 Australians will be diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma this year.
