Mr Marshall said the new two-lane Emu Crossing Bridge would replace the current one-way crossing, with a higher, longer and wider design so it would cope with major flooding, such as a one-in-50-year flooding event.
He said the NSW government had contributed $3.5 million to the new bridge which will provide improved connectivity for the people and businesses of the Northern Tablelands using Thunderbolts Way.
A compulsory pre-tender meeting will be held at Uralla Shire Council chambers on March 19 at 10.30am.
Tender documentation can be requested from Alan Harvey on 6778 6312 or via email at aharvey@uralla.nsw.gov.au
All tenders must be clearly marked “Bridge Tender – Emu Crossing U14/7103” and addressed to Tom O’Connor, general manager, Uralla Shire Council, PO Box 106, Uralla, NSW 2358.
Tenders must reach the council no later than 4pm on March 27.
