A man has been charged in Glen Innes with attempted murder following a fire at a house in East Lismore last year.

In the afternoon of Sunday, October 6, two men forced entry into a house on Spring Street, and allegedly assaulted the 74-year-old male occupant.
The men tied the elderly man up and allegedly set fire to the premises.
Police will further allege the men stole a number of items including the man’s car before fleeing the premises.
Emergency services attended and untied the man.
He was taken to Lismore Base Hospital, where he spent a number of days in hospital.
About 10pm on Saturday 16 November 2013, three men forced entry into a house on Richmond Hill Road, Richmond Hill, and assaulted the three occupants including the 74-year-old man.
The men stole some property before fleeing.
As a result, Strike Force Lynhale was established to investigate both incidents.
Yesterday, police executed two search warrants on Short Street and Wilga Street at Glen Innes.
Police arrested a 26-year-old man and took him to Glen Innes Police Station, where he was charged with a number of offences including; attempted murder, destroy property with intent to endanger life, and aggravated break and enter.
He was refused bail to appear at Armidale Local Court today.
