Sponsored by the Safari Club Bar and Bistro, she’s always loved the festival and says she’s looking forward to experiencing it from a new perspective.
Stevie-lee loves checking out the Peel St buskers and says the economic benefits for Tamworth can’t be underestimated.
Her ultimate career goal is to own her own family daycare centre, taking a big step towards that dream with a traineeship as an afterschool care/vacation care assistant.
The traineeship is all the sweeter after ill health in recent years robbed her of a lot of independence.
“I now have two jobs and my driver’s licence,” Stevie-lee said. “My health and my independence have been my biggest achievements in life so far.”
Family and friends were a priority, she said, but she also loves to take photos, read, work and shop.
“I have wanted to be a part of the quest since I was a little girl,” Stevie-lee said. “I love the atmosphere and the huge crowds the festival attracts.”
