THE Christmas period has again been marred by tragedy on our roads after an 18-year-old woman was killed in a car crash near Narrabri yesterday.

Police and emergency services were called to the scene at Killarney Gap Rd, 30km east of Narrabri, about 12.25pm yesterday after reports of a single vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, officers from the Barwon Local Area Command found a female trapped in a silver Mitsubishi Triton utility, which had rolled a number of times.
The sole occupant, an 18-year-old woman, died at the scene.
Killarney Gap Rd between the Newell Highway and Forest Way Rd at Bingara was closed for a number of hours and diversions were put in place as a result of the crash.
It comes after the death of a man and serious injury of another in a horror crash near Moree on Monday night.
The car the two men were travelling in slammed into a tree after failing to stop at an RBT checkpoint on the Carnarvon Highway about 11pm.
Police have renewed calls to local motorists to take care on roads, particularly during the busy holiday period.
