Jason O’Bryan was sentenced to a 15-month intensive corrections order in Tamworth Local Court this week for high-range drink-driving on September 22.
O’Bryan got behind the wheel of a Holden Commodore station wagon about 7.30pm and drove along Back Kootingal Rd before he was spotted by police.
When officers attempted to pull him over he sped away, crossing double lines, and was recorded travelling at 130km/h in an 80km/h zone. He eventually pulled over.
Police noticed his son was in the front seat of the car. O’Bryan failed a roadside breath test and recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.180.
He was also fined $700 for the speeding offences and disqualified from driving for two years.
