Bumble bees, witches, zombies, batman, fairies, dracula, pirates and lady bugs were just some of the costumes donned on the day.
It is an event the occasional child care centre celebrates every year, and one that the kids eagerly await, centre co-ordinator Sharn Mason said.
“Everyone brought a horror plate of party food that was made to look spooky,” she said.
“There was also a pirate treasure hunt, face painting, pumpkins and some disco dancing in the spider web.”
While most of the day went smoothly, nap-time proved a little more difficult than usual, Ms Mason said.
“The littlies went to sleep a little later than normal, but they’re all recharged now and ready to have a second party food helping for afternoon tea.
“We are coming down off the sugar as well,” she laughed.
