Laser Plumbing Tamworth was voted a high achiever among more than 200 Laser plumbing and electrical members across Australia and New Zealand.
Peter Dillon, the Tamworth firm’s managing director and his estimator, Ross Smith, were in Auckland for the recent international conference of 450 delegates.
The Tamworth business was judged the Laser Group’s Rising Star Award winner for Australia, recognising its hard work and dedication ahead of 108 other members for their business improvement, growth and systemisation since joining the Laser group in July 2012.
“Peter has a great business in Tamworth. Having been in business for over 20 years, they’re not the new kids on the block; however, they are certainly a rising star in the Laser Group,” said group managing director Steve Keil at the presentation.
“Peter’s attitude to customer service and business excellence is not something practised out of a textbook, it’s ingrained behaviour founded on his and the team’s values. Yet another superstar coming out of Tamworth.”
Laser Plumbing Tamworth has serviced the New England region since 1993, concentrating predominantly on domestic, commercial and industrial plumbing maintenance and contracts.
The group is one of the largest contractor networks across Australasia.
Mr Dillon said the Tamworth firm had only been a member of the group for just over a year and the win was very satisfying.
During the conference, delegates also provided a volunteer boost to Habitat for Humanity, building much-needed sleep-outs to assist families in need of more space, as well as upgrading their offices and facilities on site.
The delegates raised $7000 in cash donations and suppliers chipped in with more than $30,000 worth of product for the project.
