Lots Moore Scrapbooking shop will be the venue for a craft fair that will be raising funds for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and Kids.
The craft fair comes hot on the heels of today’s Red Nose Day, which has been the official fundraising event for the organisation for 26 years.
Fair organiser Maryann Parsons has been a volunteer for the foundation for many years and is looking forward to a good morning.
A scrapbooker herself, Ms Parsons said there would be six stallholders who would have all sorts of decorations, papers and embellishments for sale.
“It’s a bit like a garage sale for scrapbookers, so there will be lots of bargains and great stuff to buy,” she said.
Stallholders will donate 20 per cent of their takings to the cause.
“I’ve been fundraising for SIDS for many years and it’s great to have an event like this,” she said.
Ms Parsons said over the years cot deaths had fallen significantly and the SIDS foundation was doing a lot of research into stillbirths.
