A GLEN Innes man faced Armidale Bail Court yesterday charged with breaking into his ex-partner’s home and confronting her and another man with a rifle.

The 36-year-old has been charged with break and enter with special aggravation, stealing a firearm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Emergency services were called just after 1pm to a home in Pinkett, 25 kilometres southeast of Glen Innes yesterday after a woman called triple zero.
No one was seriously injured in an incident that police allege saw a woman confronted by her ex-partner with a .22 rifle.
Police said after a short struggle, the firearm was discharged and a bullet lodged in the door frame of the home.
The man was arrested and taken to Glen Innes Police Station where he was charged.
The woman received minor bruising in the incident.
The man was released on conditional bail and will face Glen Innes Local Court on January 31.
