MORNING traffic was banked up for kilometres yesterday into the centre of Tamworth after a four-car collision on Scott Rd.

A woman in her 40s was taken to Tamworth hospital suffering neck pain after the accident which occurred near the corner of Locks Ln and Scott Rd just after 8am yesterday.
Paramedics, NSW Fire and Rescue and Oxley Local Area Command attended the incident, which occurred near the Goonoo Goonoo Rd roundabout.
Northbound traffic was diverted for over an hour while recovery was completed.
The woman was released from hospital yesterday and there were no other injuries reported.
