For inspiration, head to the annual Tamworth Christmas Fair tomorrow, in aid of the Brain Foundation.
At the fair you’ll find all sorts of unique gifts, from children’s toys and clothing to jewellery, homewares and adult fashion.
There will be a number of new stalls, such as horseshoe garden sculptures and a stall offering tartan material, as well as all the favourites that sell – homemade cakes, soaps and candles, Christmas puddings, jams and olive oil.
There will be plenty of entertainment for the kids while parents shop – with take-home sand art at the Sand Wizard stall, as well as face painting and a jumping castle.
Tamworth’s women’s clothing store Ali’s Boutique will show off its summer range in a fashion parade beginning at 12.30pm.
The Tamworth Pipe Band and Irish Pipes will make an appearance, adding to the festive spirit.
After all the shopping, sit back and relax with a coffee or fresh lunch made by members of the North West branch of the Brain Foundation.
Based in Tamworth, the hardworking committee meets five times a year to organise the annual fundraiser.
North West branch president Pip Warner is proud of the quality and range of Christmas gifts on offer in the fair’s ninth year.
“Shoppers genuinely look forward to the Christmas Fair every year,” Ms Warner said.
“There’s something for everyone with the highest-quality handicrafts; it offers something different for Christmas.”
Every year the committee donates between $15,000 and $20,000 to brain research by Australian scientists and doctors.
The fair is at Tamworth Racecourse from 9.30am-4pm. Entry is $3 for adults; children under 12, free.
