TICKETS for A Day On The Green in Armidale sold like hotcakes on their first day of release yesterday.
Promoter Michael Newton said 2000 tickets were sold by 1pm and they were on target to reach or exceed the 6400 tickets sold for the last Armidale event in March this year.
“The vibe seems to be really good,” he said.
Mr Newton said the performances by Neil Finn and Paul Kelly together for two hours at the outdoor event hadn’t happened before and probably would never happen again, and they were the biggest drawcards this year.
Next year’s March 9 event will feature a new reserved seating option.
A Day on the Green is at Peterson’s Winery in Armidale with coach packages available in surrounding regions from Edwards Coaches.
