More plumbers than you could poke a plunger at – all of them camera shy – stood about poring over plans with builders, bobcat drivers, carpenters, concreters, decorators, electricians, painters, plumbing suppliers and tilers for the task ahead.
The first blokes on the job for the Wighton family shed completion will be the plumbers, who start work this weekend.
James McDonald from Boral Concrete and Quarries, together with Mark Soper, from Maress Excavators and Bobcat Hire, will also get cracking shortly, laying the roadbase for the Wightons' driveway.
Next weekend it's envisaged most other tradesmen will get on with the job of finishing off the shed by winter.
Peter and Cathy Wighton were absolutely blown away by the generosity of their "rescuers".
Darren Cuffe from Evans Plumbing and Mark Wardley from Reece Plumbing Supplies have now ensured the Wightons won't be lacking in any plumbing department, from the hot water service to the septic tank, and have even thrown in the kitchen sink.
TD's Paints has offered to paint the interior of the shed, while Gemini Furnishings will provide any curtaining requirements needed.
The feeling onsite was something very special indeed, made even more meaningful with the arrival of Ethan, Keegan, Cora, Peter and Cathy Wighton.
There's now a sixth member of the Wighton family, Amber the red cattle dog, who rarely left Ethan's side.
Stay tuned for the next instalment of this great community effort.
