The uniquely-named eatery cleaned up at the Restaurant and Catering New England Regional Awards, winning the titles Restaurant of the Year, Wine List of the Year and Modern Australian Restaurant.
The winners were announced at a ceremony on Monday night at Tamworth's Powerhouse Boutique Hotel.
"It's wonderful, it's all credit to the kitchen team who are all under 21 years' old," Restaurant owner and head chef Julian Rote said.
"We just try to use flair and innovation but we don't get too distant from the fundamentals, things that still make sense to the palette and satisfy the stomach."
Restaurant and Catering NSW chief executive Robert Goldman said Jitterbug Mood had the right recipe for success.
"They seem to have everything going for them. It's a restaurant with the right staff, the right blend, the enthusiasm of the staff is contagious and you feel that when you're dining there," Mr Goldman said.
The restaurant has been operating in Armidale for more than 10 years.
Last year it won the Best Wine List category and in 1996 as a BYO restaurant, it was named Favourite Local Restaurant.
Jitterbug Mood's fare is best described as modern Australian, which is a fusion of flavours from a number of cultures.
Mr Rote said he felt fortunate to work in Armidale, where he could experiment with food while still dishing up all the traditional favourites.
Other winners included Tamworth's Weswal Gallery Cafe in the Coffee/Tea Shop category, Moree's Cascades Theatre and Char Grill for Informal Dining while Cafe Eataliano in Tamworth was named best Italian restaurant.
The New Restaurant title was won by Guyra's Rafter's Restaurant, Tamworth's Stet-son's Steakhouse and Saloon Bar picked up the award for Themed Restaurant, the Marigold Restaurant in Tamworth took out the Chinese Restaurant category. The Amaroo in Moree won for Best Steakhouse.
All category winners will go on to the State awards, to be announced in August in the Hunter Valley.
