Riley comes off a six wicket haul for his Club House side in Gunnedah cricket last Saturday while Lucas claimed three wickets for his Mornington first grade side in the same game.
Lucas took 3-15 off his 13 overs while Riley captured 6-28 in his 13.3 overs to be in peak form for the most important game of the Gunnedah season.
Riley and Lucas help form a four-man pace quartet with Eddie McGuirk and Don Whiteman while Paul Lodge and Chris Riordan provide the slower bowling support.
McGuirk also bowled strongly last weekend to claim 2-50 in his 16 overs with Club House against Albion.
Gunnedah selectors have named a full-strength side under captain and wicketkeeper David Marshall.
“That’s our best side,” Gunnedah’s Kevin Wicks said.
“Hopefully, everyone’s right.”
He said the bowling attack was Gunnedah’s strength with all the bowlers in form.
“It just depends on our top order.”
“One of the top three has to get a good score. If they do that we should be able to finish with a big score.”
Eddie McGuirk, Grant McIlveen and Wayne McDonald have the key task of opening the innings and giving the side a strong base from which strokemakers such as Adam Hockley, Adam Walls, Marshall and Paul Lodge can explode.
Hockley was the only top order batsman to figure in local grade cricket last Saturday.
He made an unbeaten 40 for his Albion side and resumes that innings this Saturday to lead his side’s run chase while also gaining valuable batting practice for the Nowland Cup final.
GUNNEDAH: David Marshall (capt), Eddie McGuirk, Grant McIlveen, Wayne McDonald, Adam Hockley, Adam Walls, Paul Lodge, Jamie Lucas, Chirs Riordan, Don Whiteman, Adam Riley.
