Gunnedah South dismissed Oxley Vale for 67 and replied with 7-68 at Donnelly Field on a cold and windy day.
Gunnedah South coach Sue Woodhead said her bowlers set up the win with eight of the Oxley Vale batswomen out bowled.
Woodhead praised the talent of her team and the spirit in which the competition had been played.
“The girls have had a ball. They must have a lot of natural talent.
“And the sportsmanship which the girls have shown in all the games has been a highlight.
“They have all been a credit to themselves,” Woodhead said.
Oxley Vale started its innings well and at the first drinks break was 2-40.
Then came the crash as it lost 8-27 to the tight bowling of North West representatives Sara Allen and Katrina Nowland.
Nowland (4-10) and Allen (2-9) were well supported by Megan Hopkins who also captured two wickets.
Candice Hawke took a neat catch for Gunnedah South while Nowland also effected a a nice runout.
Jessica Whiley (21), Krystele Hurcum (11) and Anna Massey (6) were the best of the OV batswomen.
Then Oxley Vale didn’t do their chances any good when they dropped four or five catches in the early overs.
Jessica Wilkinson did take two great catches at first slip as Sara Perkins (2-19), Hurcum (3-15), Wilkinson (1-12) and diminutive Jamie Lee Fisher (1-7) made the breakthroughs.
Nowland (8), Allen (6) and Hopkins (6) were the best of the Gunnedah South batswomen.
Oxley Vale coach Graeme Conn said the side did well to make it through to the regional final.
“They love their cricket and they were very enthusiastic,” he said.
