Three PELs were cancelled by the NSW government last week, with one in the Liverpool Plains, one further south near Merriwa and Scone, and another further north near Moree.
A spokesperson from Mr Anderson's office said he remains firm in his stance that he does not want any PELs in his region.
"Mr Anderson has been consistent in his position that he does not want coal seam gas in the Tamworth electorate," the spokesperson said.
He said he would fight for the community to get more PELs in the region extinguished.
"Mr Anderson welcomes the further reduction in PELs in the region and will continue to advocate on behalf of the local community."

Just prior to Easter three different PELs were renewed, including one that has land in the Tamworth electorate, and another in the Liverpool Plains.
Many residents in those regions remain upset with the renewal of those PELs, and several community sessions have taken place for landholders that are unsure or critical of coal seam gas exploration in the area.
Upper Hunter MP David Layzell said he fully supports the decisions made by his government to extinguish some PELs and retain others.
"The latest PEL refusals are completely in line with the government's Future of Gas statement released last year," he said.
"This is a big win for many parts of regional NSW, creating certainty for landholders and industry alike.
"The so-called zombie PELs are no more - parts of them have been renewed, others have been rejected, and one PEL remains under assessment."
