The blue line in Tamworth has been bolstered for the event's golden year, with Oxley police launching the seven-day targeted Operation Tamworth Country Music Festival 2022 on Monday.
Oxley Police District commander Superintendent Kylie Endemi said more uniformed police, plain-clothed officers, highway patrol cops and special squads from across the state would join forces with local police.
The week-long operation will run alongside Operation Southbreak - the local squad dedicated to busting property crime - as it continues to investigate a spate of break-ins and car thefts.
"We will not stand for this offending to continue and we will not stand for it to interrupt such a great Tamworth Country Music Festival," Superintendent Endemi said.
Police welcomed travellers but urged them not to store important possessions in unlocked tents or cars, to get to know their neighbours and to use a portable alarm.

"I understand people feel that they shouldn't have to go to such lengths to lock up their valuables, but the reality is at the moment, anything you can do to ensure these offenders are not able to steal your property is helpful - to not only yourself but us as well," Superintendent Endemi said.
Officers are working with licensed venues and will be active in all areas of the "festival footprint" - out on the roads, walking the streets, in pubs and at campsites.
"Please consume responsibly, be conscious of your own behaviour, be conscious of the situation around you, any anti-social or unlawful behaviour just won't be tolerated," Superintendent Endemi said.
Some roads are closed, others are busy and double demerits will be in place for the Anzac Day long weekend.
Road safety is an important aspect of the operation and a 'Plan B' is essential.
Report suspicious behaviour to Tamworth police.
