Dave Hamilton pulled back a three shot overnight deficit to clinch his first Tamworth Golf Club Easter Vardon tournament win on Sunday.

The Tamworth member and multiple club champion fired 142 for the 36 holes to finish one shot clear of fellow club member Ben Lockwood and Wollongong's Brad Robinson.
Robinson had taken a three shot advantage over Hamilton into the second day after carding a two-under par 68.

But he couldn't match his first round form, finishing with 75 on the back of "a few bogies here and there".
Hamilton in contrast was 'mr consistent', following up with another 71 in the second round.
After scoring 73 in the first round, Lockwood also surged into contention with a round of 70, ensuring an exciting finish.
"They all played together in the seeded group, it was very close coming down the stretch," Tamworth Golf Club pro Brock Sampson said.
"The last four or five holes they were within a shot of each other."
The golf course was a popular place over the break with close to 500 golfers hitting the fairways across the four days of the annual tournament.
"The weather was absolutely perfect and the golf course is the best it's ever been," Sampson remarked.
Easter Saturday was the biggest day with 190 golfers teeing off. That followed 130 on Good Friday and 50 for the ladies event on Thursday with 100 taking part in the Easter Sunday competition.
The Vardon event itself drew around 40 starters after COVID forced a few late withdrawals.
