Joshua Ty Tehoata, 29, will front sentencing in the district court after pleading guilty to a string of allegations in Tamworth Local Court last week.
Tehoata remains behind bars almost a year on from the offending in the early hours of May 15.
"We're ready to enter pleas," Legal Aid defence solicitor Patricia Simpson told the court.
Tehoata admitted to charges of discharging a bolt action rifle with the intent to resist arrest and two counts of possessing a shortened firearm.
The court heard allegations of having custody of a knife in a public place, possessing or using a prohibited weapon, possessing ammunition and possessing a barrel for a firearm were listed as related by the state prosecuting authority, the DPP.
One extra charge of possessing a shortened firearm was listed as a further offence, while four others were dropped by prosecutors.

Magistrate Darryl Pearce noted the pleas and adjourned the matter to later this month in the higher court.
"The defendant is committed for sentence to the district court at Tamworth," he said.
"Okay," Tehoata said at the end of the mention, appearing via video link from custody.
Tehoata's co-accused has already pleaded guilty to his involvement and fronted the district court earlier this year. He is set to appear again on the same day as Tehoata.
Police said at the time that the men were travelling in a Ford Territory when a chase was sparked about 2:45am on May 15, and police were led through Tamworth and the surrounding areas.
Police claimed the passenger leant out the window and fired a gun several times at the unmarked cop car - which was later found to have bullet holes in its bumper and bonnet - before road spikes were deployed.
The Ford Territory eventually crashed through Tamworth Golf Club's fence on Duri Road about 3:30am.
The men were arrested.
