Somerton Community Biggest Morning Tea
Somerton Community Biggest Morning Tea is on the Thursday 26th May. Commencing from 9 am with home made slices and cakes for most of the morning at the Somerton Hotel.
All welcome with a $5 entry fee along with lucky door prize, raffles and trading table with cakes and goods. All welcome to support the Australia's Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea.
Tamworth Cottage Gardeners
Tamworth Cottage Gardeners Inc. meet on Thursday 26 May at "Wests" Leagues Club, Phillip Street, Tamworth. Club opens at 9.30 Meeting starts at 10 o'clock. Flower of the month is the Geranium any variety, Photo Productive Garden or edible plants. The trading table will be stocked with locally grown plants at very reasonable prices.

Cat rescue day
Brighter Future Cat Rescue is a registered charity based in Western Sydney with a group of dedicated foster carers in the Tamworth area. The aim of the group is to rescue and rehome unwanted cats and kittens to indoor accommodation and /or outdoor enclosures. An Adoption Day is being held on Saturday 28th May 2022 at Pets Domain Bridge Street Tamworth from 10 am until 2 pm. There will be a number of kittens of various ages on display and most will be available to take home that day. An adoption fee is charged , which goes toward the microchipping, vaccination and desexing of each kitten as well as any treatment required. ANTaR Armidale - annual Reconciliation Bridge Walk

Where: Curtis Park, near Visitor Centre, cnr Dumaresa and Marsh St, Armidale.
Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people gather in Reconciliation Week every year. Together we walk across a (short) bridge and through the park. Then we have entertainment and short speeches, followed by a BBQ. This year we feature talented local Aboriginal dancer and didgeridoo player Bob Blair.

Like Tamworth, Manilla now has its very own parkrun event every Saturday. Chaffey Park parkrun launched on 9th April. Community events like parkrun are a wonderful way for the community to become involved in a regular event, either by participating in the run/walk or by volunteering.
