HUNDREDS of people made their way to Nundle on Sunday for the Country Picnic, with the weather playing nice after causing the event's postponement two weeks ago.

More than 150 people headed to the grounds at the Woolen Mill, and then branched out and explored what else the village had to offer.
Nundle Events and Groups manager Teree Burr said she was thrilled to see the event go so well.
"It was a beautiful day, we had a cracking day with the sun shining, we had 150 guests, the food was plentiful, the music was very chilled and it was just beautiful here at the grounds of the Woolen Mill, it was just stunning," she said.
Ms Burr expressed her relief at the weather behaving, admitting she was concerned throughout the week the event would have to be pushed back again given the persistent rain.

However, the fears were luckily unfounded and people were more than happy to visit Nundle, which provided a boost for its economy overall.
"That's what happens, it's a really chilled day here, everyone gets in and relaxes then get up and do a bit of shopping then come back," she said.
"They spend time exploring the village as well which is really excellent."
Woolen Mill owner Nick Bradford said the day could hardly have got better and he was thrilled to be part of the picnic.
"It was a cracking day and you can't do anything but run a cracking festival, it was brilliant and it's great to be involved for the Nundle community," he said.
"It's a great day and we know that people come here from outside and have an absolute ripper day."
