The disability service celebrated its 70th birthday on Thursday, marking decades of making the community a brighter and more inclusive place.
Sunnyfield regional manager, Ada Maughan, said there was around 200 clients across the Tamworth region that benefitted from the service, which opened in the city 15 years ago.
"Sunnyfield is about making a different in people's lives," Ms Maughan said.

"It's about supporting people to achieve their goals and to be anything they want to be."
Clients participate in social activities, learning and development and sports days with the assistance of their support worker, which Ms Maughan said was an "incredibly rewarding" career.
The service aims to break down barriers to help their clients live their life to the fullest.
"It's about what support do they need to really make a difference," she said.
"It could be support at home, it could be support coming out to events, or it could be support to go out and be with like-minded people."
The 70 year milestone was a testament to the hard work of the community, families and staff, Ms Maughan said.
