Oxley police have caught a pair of young men allegedly red-handed, after scores of cars were vandalised in South Tamworth.

The 21-year-old and 18-year-old men have been accused of using red spray paint to graffiti 24 cars in an early morning spree on Wednesday morning.
Oxley police were called to reports of vandalism in the Hillvue area at about 1.45am.
After getting details of the alleged vandalism at a house on Warwick Road, police sighted several cars on that same street and on Grant Street that had been damaged with the paint, police said.

Police will allege they came across two young men in David Street, who were in possession of a red spray can and had paint residue on their clothing and hands.
The pair were arrested and interviewed at Tamworth Police Station.
The 21-year-old and 18-year-old were both released on conditional police bail the same day.
They will face 24 counts of doing malicious damage to vehicles in Tamworth Local Court on April 11.
