The ever-growing track was a thrill for the kids and relaxing experience for many parents, who were making the most of the day before it got too hot.
Publicity manager Jim Booth said it was an excellent morning and the turnout was great.
"Today has been good, it's been fine weather and whenever you get fine weather you get lots of kids," he said.

"And there's a lot of people that will go and do the markets and then come here and then do something else, and the weather really brings them out.
"There's lots out today, and they all know that if they wear their [toot-toot club] T-shirt they can ride for free so that brings a few more out."
