A well-prepared and well-balanced Central North outfit will commence their Bradman Cup campaign in Sawtell this weekend, the side's coach, Luke Knight, has said.

Central North meet Newcastle in a one-dayer on Saturday morning, before Twenty20 clashes against North Coastal and Central Coast on Sunday.

Knight said: "We've picked the right team.
"We've got a good mix of players from all around the zone."
The side will, however, be without key batsman Keanu Botha - with the Maitland player recovering from having his appendix removed.
Another Maitland player, Thomas Thorpe, will captain the under-16 side.
Knight said Thorpe "has showed some really good leadership".
The mentor added: "He's a strong allrounder - strong with the bat and strong with the ball.
"So I'm excited about him this weekend."
