The director and head coach at Tamworth gym RevFit came up with the idea of a 24-hour marathon three years ago.
He was deep in stage four melanoma at the time - but took to a stationary bike nonetheless.
The mission of raising money and awareness in the battle against the deadly disease was too important.

"When you tell people you're riding a bike for 24 hours, they want to know why," he said.
"Why are you doing something so ridiculous and stupid?
"So it starts the conversation."
That's exactly what he is set to do for a full day this week.
With the help of other members of the gym, the RevFit stationary bike won't stop moving from 10am Friday, until 10am Saturday.
"This year is the first year we've had other gyms in town reach out and say they want to come and get involved as well," Mr Brook said.
"The guys from Snake [Athletic] will come over and the guys from Demon Crossfit will come over as well.
"That's awesome to have now other guys wanting to be a part of it.
"I'd like to think maybe next year can we have these gyms and have us running for 24, them running for 24. And who can raise the most money. I think that would really cool and I'd love to see it go that way.
"I'd love to see this become a bit of an annual thing everywhere. I'd love to throw it out to everyone and anyone."
In 2020, the crew of dozens managed to ride the equivalent of a return trip to Melbourne.
This year they're aiming much higher - to Perth and back.
But Mr Brook has dreams even bigger than that.
One day he wants hundreds or thousands of gyms to sign up, contributing to fundraising and awareness raising efforts.
Any money raised goes to Game on Mole, a charity campaign run by the Melanoma Institute.
The event is welcome to all comers, even without a booking.
