Council said the Premer WPS underwent thorough testing of the water quality before the alert was lifted.

Council will continue to consult with NSW Health and NSW DPIE and monitor the status of the Premer WPS.

Emergency Level 5 Water Restrictions at Spring Ridge and Premer have been lifted as repairs to the two villages' Water Pump Stations have been completed.

The Spring Ridge Water Pump Station was returned to service this morning following significant electrical repairs yesterday.

With the two Water Pump Stations back in service, both Premer and Spring Ridge return to Level P water conservation measures effective immediately.

Council thanks residents for their patience during this disruption to regular water supply operation.

Emergency Level 5 Water Restrictions will come into effect immediately at Spring Ridge due to a major electrical fault at the town's water pump station (WPS).

Liverpool Plains Shire Council has directed that water usage in the community should be kept to a minimum and only be used for human consumption and hygiene or animal welfare needs.

Spring Ridge is reliant on the water already in storage at the Spring Ridge Reservoirs and water cartage.

This incident is not related to recent flooding in the area or the recent carting of water to the Premer Town Water Supply.

Council staff and contractors are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, however the fault may take until early next week to rectify.

Meanwhile, Council said the issue with the Premer water pump station supply is now close to completion, with testing being undertaken before the Premer supply is given the green light.
