A MAN accused of firing a gun at another man told his trial the allegation against him is "totally false" as he gave evidence on Wednesday.
Anthony James Koicev has denied using a gun with intent to intimidate Anthony Luke Ritter during an alleged altercation in Carroll, near Tamworth, on the night of October 17, 2019.

Prosecutor Brendan Queenan grilled the accused mine worker on aspects of the Crown case during cross-examination in Tamworth District Court.
He put it to Koicev that he stopped his white Holden Commodore near where Mr Ritter was sitting in his ute out the front of his home and pointed a shotgun out the open driver's window.
"Totally false, untrue," Koicev said.
Mr Queenan said Koicev then pulled the trigger, causing a loud bang and a flash from the gun.
"I did not, false," he said.

The court heard Koicev admitted he had been in Carroll at the time and that "everyone knows everyone" there, but said he didn't see the alleged victim that night.
Mr Queenan told the accused he then accelerated harshly and Mr Ritter "gave chase".
"Not true at all," Koicev said.
The Crown case is that the Koicev drove down a dead-end rural road in Carroll before realising there was nowhere to go, pulling into a home near the end of the lane and asking the resident to drive him home or if there was another way out because Mr Ritter was waiting and had called the cops.
Koicev said that was not true and told the court he was aware of the area and knew there was no way out of the lane.
"Yeah my word, especially driving a sedan, she's rough terrain," he said.
Koicev gave evidence the only dealings he had had with Mr Ritter were property sales.
The trial heard from two expert witnesses on Wednesday, including senior forensic chemist Nadine Krayem.
She told the court there were particles found on samples taken from Koicev's car that were "characteristic" of gunshot residue.
Evidence in the trial wrapped up on its third day on Wednesday afternoon.

Mr Queenan delivered his closing address to the jury of 12 and said the issue in the trial had become whether they could be satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that Koicev was the person that fired the gun.
He submitted the jury should reject everything Koicev had said in the witness box.
He said two Crown witnesses from the area at the time had corroborated Mr Ritter's evidence as they had heard at least one gunshot and a car driving away.
Koicev's defence barrister told the jury Koicev didn't "hide in coward's corner" and exposed himself to cross-examination when he could have "remained silent".
He submitted there was no evidence of any firearm in Koicev's possession and that all the jury was "left with" was one man's word.
The trial will return on Thursday.
