The Tamworth Cottage Gardeners treasurer was awarded for 30 years of keeping the books balanced on Thursday.
Club President Dianne Charlton said Ms Skewes had worked incredibly hard over the past three decades and was an integral member.
"She's a generous gardener, generous with her time, generous with her plants, and generous with her praise."

But leaving big gardening gloves to fill, Ms Skewes said it was time to turn over a new petal and she will be stepping down as treasurer.
Although she will still be on the committee, Ms Charlton said her organisation and problem solving would be missed.
