Tamworth has notched up one COVID positive case in the latest reporting period, up until 8pm Wednesday night, taking the region's total to 100.

It comes after no cases were reported in the two days prior.
Of the new cases announced on Thursday: Eleven are from Lake Macquarie LGA; seven are from Moree Plains LGA, taking the shire's total active cases to 206; six are from Newcastle LGA; four are from Mid Coast LGA; three are from Inverell LGA taking the LGA's number to 119; two are from Port Stephens LGA; one is from Cessnock LGA; the Gwydir LGA has recorded its first case with a positive person at Warialda; and one is from Tamworth LGA.
Thirteen were in isolation for their entire infectious period, 16 were infectious in the community and seven are under investigation.

Twenty five cases are linked to known exposures or clusters, four are unlinked and seven are under investigation.
And while there have been no positive cases, Uralla's sewage testing continues to show traces of the virus, causing authorities to urge people to continue to get tested.
