Optus Territory General Manager for Mid North Coast NSW, Chris Simon, said he was thrilled to bring the roadshow to Tamworth to give locals the opportunity to meet the team and have any tech questions answered first hand.
"The aim of the roadshow is really about listening to our customers," Mr Simon said.
"We not only want to demonstrate the capability of nbn but also to provide tech assistance for handheld devices whether that be settings updates, social media/app installation, pairing devices or utilising shortcuts.
"I am hugely passionate about empowering the community to be digitally educated and confident; ensuring that they understand how they can get the best out of the technology at their fingertips.
"We know how important reliable Internet access is for those living and working across regional Australia so it's a privilege to work with nbn for this roadshow.
"Like us, they are focused on helping all Australians in regional and remote areas to stay connected with family, friends and colleagues as seamlessly as possible."
Head of nbn Local NSW, Tom O'Dea, said that these sessions are a part of nbn's broader commitment to educating local communities about how to get the best of the nbnTM network.
"Our purpose is to lift the digital capability of Australia. With so many Australians now turning to nbnTM powered plans, it's more important than ever to engage with and educate local communities," Mr O'Dea said.
"Our nbn local team is dedicated to working with communities across regional and remote Australia and we are looking forward to meeting with people in Tamworth."
