DREAMS are set to come true for some of country music's brightest stars next week when the nominations are announced for the Golden Guitar Awards 2022.

Past winner and fresh from an appearance on television show The Block, Kristy Lee Akers and husband Jesse Anderson will host the ceremony at the Tamworth town hall on Tuesday.
The event will feature performances from Troy Cassar-Daley, Ashleigh Dallas, Luke O'Shea and rising star Cass Hopetoun.
A record number of more than 760 entries rolled in and Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA) chairman Dan Biddle said it was great to see.

"Australian country music is thriving, which is a win for the artists, the industry and the fans," he said.
The nominees announcement will be livestreamed on the Tamworth Country Music Festival website for those unable to travel.
Winners of the Golden Guitar Awards will be crowned at the TRECC on January 22 during the 50th anniversary festival.
